On your first visit you will undergo a clinical examination where we will first explore your needs, concerns, expectations, and then ascertain how we may be able to help you. We will express our opinion if treatment is necessary, and the best alternatives to your treatment.

If you choose to proceed to the next step, we will make an appointment to take records. Typically, orthodontic records are a thorough clinical examination, followed by impressions of your teeth, photographs of your face, your smile and teeth, as well as, various radiographs of your teeth and head, as indicated.

Once we analyze and determine the exact nature of the problem, we will propose a treatment plan; often with alternate approaches. If you agree to our proposed treatment plan, and if you are a patient for conventional braces, they will be put on at the following appointment. On Invisalign or Incognito patients, we make precise impressions of their teeth to be used to generate 3D images of your teeth and to custom-fabricate the appliances.

Dr. Tuncay will custom-formulate your treatment plan and mechanics over the Internet. He will also make any necessary corrections to the 3D images on the computer. Once the computer-generated treatment images are exactly as Dr. Tuncay had prescribed, order will be given to robotically fabricate the appliances.

Upon completion of treatment you will be placed in retention. Teeth that are moved orthodontically have a strong tendency to go back to where they came from. It is imperative they are retained in their corrected positions. Accordingly, retainers must be worn as instructed. Failure to do so might necessitate (costly) re-treatment. One-year retention follow-up is included in the fee. Subsequent visits will be charged by the procedure.

Everyone should know shifting of positions and crowding of teeth is part of the aging process. No one can escape from these age-related changes except patients who wear their retainers faithfully. These individuals defy the aging process.
